LAG Fall Color Paddle: A Little Witchy

The leaves are changing, the water is calling, and the witches are coming out to paddle! Ladies 18+, join the Ladies Adventure Group at Big Hollow Recreation Area for a beautiful fall paddle surrounded by autumn colors and a little friendly witchy competition.

Come dressed as a witch for a chance to win a cool prize! Bring your own kayak or canoe, or rent one of ours. We’ll have 4 kayaks and 4 two-person canoes available.

Fall Color Hike

Experience the beauty of fall at Starr’s Cave during this guided Fall Color Hike!

Join Naturalist Shania as we explore the trails and take in the beautiful colors of the season. Along the way, learn more about the trees, fall foliage, and the natural world around us.

This free hike is perfect for nature lovers of all ages! We will hike up to three miles, so please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.

Participants are encouraged to bring water, bug spray, sunglasses, and a camera to capture the beautiful fall scenery.

Registration is not required but is appreciated. You can RSVP through RecDesk.

In the event of inclement weather, the hike will be canceled.

Come enjoy the crisp fall air, colorful leaves, and beautiful trails at Starr’s Cave!

Land Stewardship Day

Join us at Starr's Cave Nature Center on Saturday, November 14th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM to help us care for and restore our local natural areas.

We’ll be tackling three key goals:

-Trimming back trail brush to keep paths safe and clear

-Removing invasive Bush Honeysuckle so native plants can thrive

-Cleaning up litter around the preserve

Bring work gloves if you have them, wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring a water bottle. We will supply extra gloves, tools, and trash bags.

Where: Starr's Cave Nature Center (11627 Starr's Cave Rd)

When: Saturday, Nov 14 | 9 AM - 12 PM

Come out, enjoy the morning outside, and help us keep Starr's Cave healthy and beautiful!
